It is a common response to press through the stressful parts of life and put in amazing amounts of work. What is offered at the Tech-Free Retreat is a fully supported opportunity for you to turn off from ALL the distractions that keep us from being present and refreshed from even our best versions of self-care: a massage, a local yoga class, our 'me' moments at the salon or barbershop, etc. Sometimes it's not enough to put your computer to 'sleep'. At Tech-Free Retreat, we turn off.
Our experts guide retreaters in gatherings that offer techniques to reset the body, come to healthy terms with technology and its place in daily living and ultimately retreaters are guided to connect with one's own freedom and power.
As a result, retreaters leave with a greater capacity to breathe and turn technology back on without being run by that technology.
TECH-FREE APPROACH: THE FAST
Fasting is one of the most powerful physio-spiritual disciplines. Periodic fasts from food are required for the body to take a break, and finish processing the food and waste. Technology mimics food in the way we over do it whether out of 'need' or for pleasure. The result has been a disconnect and stagnation of our brain, body, and connection to our true nature. For 48 hours we will fast from technology. You will gain 48 hours of uninterrupted focus that will begin to activate and increase your attention span, and give your brain time to actually move from the conscious mind to long-term memory formation: your ability to remember and process information.
